Our Favourite Downtown Collingwood Food & Drink Options

The Collingwood food scene is popping fresh with award-winning restaurants, innovative chefs, and a buzzing, entrepreneurial vibe where anything goes.

Coffee

Coffee culture is alive and well here in Collingwood. These local gems are all within a 2-10 minute walk of the hotel. Fuel up on fancy coffees,

Gibson & Co. Great coffee and pastries in a bright open space. Open daily from 8am. Turns into a cool, whiskey-fueled, speak-easy style lounge on weekend nights.

Petit Espresso Post. Right around the corner, this quiet spot has great coffee and baked goods. Find more bustle (and more baking!) at the main location on Huronontario, a few blocks away. Tues to Sat, 8am to 4pm.

Summit Social House. Coffee and bikes. Small but excellent menu includes yummy baking, Montreal bagels, and vegan grilled cheese.  Daily, 8am to 3pm.

Restaurants

There are lots of great restaurants in Collingwood, and 11 Rooms is conveniently located just a short walk from many of the best ones. Reserve or call ahead, especially on weekends.

One minute northwest of us: Low Down. Dim lit lounge with great cocktails and a short but wonderful menu. Mon to Sat, from 4pm.

Newcomer to the neighbourhood, Poppy’s French Bistro serves excellent French classics in an elevated setting with great service. Great patio. Hours vary.

Around the corner, Black Bellows is an art-filled brewery, resto and bottleshop. Fun beers and great fries. Open for lunch.

Sol Kitchen. Tasty, healthy meals; perfect ginger cookies. Vegan, gf friendly. Wed to Sat, 11 to 5pm.

Bent Taco, on Pine Street, is a fun night out. Great tacos, yummy margaritas. Awesome patio.

The Tremont Cafe has beautiful food and wonderful wines. Great plant-based options.

Fish & Sips. Lovely fish with thick-cut chips. Tues to Sat, from noon.

Bars & Cocktails

Sidle up to the bar or get drinks to go from some of our favourite local watering holes, all within easy stumbling distance.

Gibson & Co. Hip, almost hidden cafe, bar, and bottle shop down an alley a 2 minute walk away. Wonderfully curated.

Low Down. Exotic cocktails, beer, and wine to go. Great food.

1858 Caesar Bar. Perfect liquid lunch. Kits and caesars to go, too.

Bent Taco. Technically a restaurant, but with killer margaritas. Available to go, too.

Specialties

Strolling through downtown, you’ll find a few hidden gems as far as specialty foods go, including our favourite donut place ever.

Nicky’s Donuts & Ice Cream. Dangerously good gourmet donuts. Some vegan. Wed to Sun, 10am to 5pm.

Dags and Willow. Great selection of artisan cheeses, charcuterie, and baked goods. Perfect for picnics or in-room snacking. Open daily.

Blue Mountain Tea Company. A haven for tea lovers. Open daily.

Tesoro Mercato. Well stocked Italian grocer with tons of prepared foods. Grab a sandwich or microwave meal to enjoy at the hotel. Tues to Sat.

Collingwood Farmers Market. The best local produce and more, just a few blocks away on Pine Street. Perfect fare for picnics. Saturdays, May to October.
